What is Lumecca IPL?
The Lumecca™ IPL therapy is a powerful and effective treatment in reducing and removing hyperpigmentation and sun damage. Lumecca™ IPL uses intense pulsed light through the delivery of specific wavelengths of light which interact with brown pigments in the skin (melanin). These pigments absorb the light energy and are destroyed.
BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT
We require that you not be tanned by direct sunlight or fake tan prior to this treatment as it may make the skin more prone to burn.
No anesthesia is required for treatment. Set aside 30 - 45 minutes for the full treatment (dependent on area).
What is the downtime?
It is possible that your skin will be red directly after the treatment. This usually subsides within an hour. Some swelling may be present for the first few hours.
24 Hours After Treatment
It is possible your skin will be red directly after the treatment. The targeted spots will begin to darken. Some swelling may be present for the first few hours.
Days After Your Treatment
